Last updated: February 24, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the 1Apostille website (1apostille.com) and our apostille and document authentication services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our website or services.
2. Description of Services
1Apostille provides apostille certification, document authentication, and embassy legalization services for personal, business, legal, and educational documents. We act as a private document processing service that facilitates the submission of documents to the appropriate government authorities on your behalf.
Important: 1Apostille is not a government agency. We are not affiliated with any Secretary of State office, the U.S. Department of State, or any foreign embassy or consulate. Our service fees are separate from and in addition to any government filing fees.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding agreements to use our services. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
4. Orders and Payment
- All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion.
- Payment is required at the time of order submission. We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as indicated on our website.
- Our service fees cover document review, processing, submission to the relevant government authority, and return shipping. Government filing fees are included unless otherwise stated.
- Prices are subject to change without notice. The price in effect at the time of your order will apply.
5. Document Handling and Responsibility
- You are responsible for ensuring that all documents submitted are genuine, accurate, and eligible for apostille or authentication.
- We handle all documents with care and maintain strict security protocols. However, we are not liable for documents lost or damaged by third-party carriers (USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc.) during transit.
- We recommend using trackable, insured shipping when sending documents to us.
- We are not responsible for documents rejected by a government authority due to issues with the document itself (e.g., invalid signatures, expired documents, incorrect formatting).
6. Processing Times
Processing times provided on our website and in communications are estimates only. Actual processing times depend on the issuing state, the type of document, the current workload of the relevant government office, and shipping times. We are not responsible for delays caused by government agencies, postal services, or circumstances beyond our control.
7. Refunds and Cancellations
- Orders may be cancelled before documents are submitted to a government authority. A cancellation fee may apply.
- Once documents have been submitted to a government authority for processing, orders cannot be cancelled, and service fees are non-refundable.
- Government filing fees are non-refundable once submitted to the issuing authority.
- If we are unable to process your documents for any reason within our control, we will issue a full refund of our service fees.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 1Apostille shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
We do not guarantee that any document will be accepted by a foreign government, employer, educational institution, or any other entity after apostille or authentication. Acceptance of apostilled documents is solely at the discretion of the receiving party.
9. No Legal Advice
1Apostille does not provide legal advice. The information on our website is for general informational purposes only and should not be construed as legal counsel. We recommend consulting with a qualified attorney for legal questions related to your specific situation, including immigration matters, international business transactions, or legal proceedings.

13. Governing Law
